I'm getting ready for my annual birthday busk in downtown Alameda on Sunday the 24th, despite forecasted rain. I love to busk. I love the random interactions on the street, like kids dancing, or hearing stories from folks. And I love helping out the Alameda animal shelter by donating any tips. Last year I managed to raise $100. I know it's not much, but for two hours of playing fiddle and mandolin, it wasn't bad, especially since I was joined by my friends Julie Antti and Alex Bernstein. I hope the rain holds off long enough for me to play from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. If you're in town then, please stop by. I'll be on the corner of Park Street and Central Avenue. Hope to see you there!
